What does a great shotgun, a good dog, a best friend, and the Martin Dingman All-American Horse Bit Loafer have in common? These dependable, trustworthy, and loyal friends, will be there for you during good times and bad.
We live in a day where most everything is disposable and quality rarely mentioned. At Martin Dingman we eschew that notion and continue to believe that quality matters. The Martin Dingman All-American Horse Bit loafer continues to be handcrafted the old school way, (hand-sewn one pair at a time) from premium oiled saddle leather. This timeless classic is fully leather lined (for comfort and durability), including a heel-to-toe comfort system, and is finished with a sewn-on all leather sole (doesn’t get any better than that). The laser-etched image of old glory and the American seal on the sole, represent our love for, and belief in, the American dream. Together, we all can “take steps” toward a better America!
With jeans, five pockets, a sport coat and tie, or with shorts and a polo, you can depend on the All American Horse Bit loafer to become your new best friend!
The Refined CountryLife
It was in 1983 that Gay and I had the crazy idea of beginning a family business. From the start, we endeavored to build a company on the foundation of quality, integrity, and “The Refined Country Life.”
The ultimate goal was to create World Class Leathergoods for the stylish man. Continuously striving for perfection, every collection is crafted with premium materials, world-class craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail. On those principles, Martin Dingman Leathergoods was founded in 1990. With the wonderful support of family, a tremendous team, and loyal customers across America, the company has since thrived. Along the way, we have enjoyed the honor of being recognized by nationally known publications, including The Robb Report as “America’s Best Of The Best,” and Forbes magazine as one of “America’s 50 Best Companies.”
The entire Dingman family (including Henry, Ivy, and Willow, our Llewellin Setters) would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” for your continued friendship and loyal support. We look forward to the next thirty years together!
A RoyalHeritage
The Royal Llewellin Setter has a long and rich history dating back to the early 17th century, with lineage to King James I of England and Louis the XVIII (the last reigning monarch) of France. Martin has personally traveled to research and confirm the origins of Royal Llewellin Setters, tracing their pure bloodlines to the original English architects of the breed. These regal and rare pups are unbelievably affectionate with small children, docile with other family pets, best friends with every new acquaintance, and bird finding machines.
Martin has been an advocate of the outdoor sporting life, since childhood, alongside his grandfather who raised and hunted Walker foxhounds. As a
hobby breeder, his goals are to produce the finest, original, Purebred Llewellin Setters, and preserve the Royal heritage of these beautiful and extremely unique dogs.
Currently, Martin and his family enjoy the companionship of King Henry, Queen Ivy, and their latest addition, Queen Henrietta. Martin has a limited number of Royal Llewellin puppies available each year, from the same original bloodlines, reserved exclusively for families who truly love, appreciate, and live a lifestyle, compatible with this spectacular breed.
